Who's making a difference at your club?

Go.Compare and Telegraph Media Group invite nomations for a Making a Difference award.

Go.Compare and Telegraph Media Group’s Making a Difference campaign asks clubs across Great Britain – and you – who should be celebrated.

With another exciting year of rugby ahead, Telegraph Media Group is delighted to be working with Go.Compare again to reward individuals who are making a difference at grassroots clubs.

Last year Go.Compare, the principal partner of the Welsh Rugby Union, set up a fund to reward three clubs – one each from Wales, England and Scotland – for the work an individual has done in contributing to the grassroots game. And we asked for your nominations.

Having rewarded Amy Terava from Ashbourne RFC in England, Rob Prudom from Panmure in Scotland and David Dixon from Wrexham RFC in Wales last year, we are going again and asking you to tell us who deserves to be this year’s recipients.

The nominee could be a player, coach, secretary, caterer, grounds person or any of the myriad roles that are vital in ensuring that grassroots rugby thrives. It could be an individual who has fostered community spirit and brought the club together at special moments or someone who is always organising fundraising events. Or perhaps someone who has helped develop players’ skills, fostering teamwork and encouraging inclusivity. It could even be an individual who has boosted the club’s social media profile, attracting new members and increasing visibility. We’re simply looking for people who are making a real difference at their club.

Complete the nomination via the link below with your details and the details of your nominee, explaining why their club deserves the £5,000 award. Applications will close on 1st March 2026, and winning entrants will be notified before 18th March 2026.

Entry form can be found here

Good luck with your nomination.
