Brian was one of the most important figures in the history of the club and was one of the driving forces in establishing the club at Copley.

Brian joined ORRUFC in the mid 1950s and was captain in the 1960-61 season. He served as a very active president from 1969 to 1972 and was the instigator in turning excess land at Copley into a second pitch as well as setting up a regular third team for the club.

An all-round sportsman, he was a keen golfer and also played cricket for Lightcliffe.
Brian’s funeral will take place at Park Wood Crematorium on Thursday February 19 at 2.15pm
