The Seasiders welcome Saltash United to the MoneyMates Hand Stadium on Saturday, 3:00 pm kick-off. Saltash United are currently in seventh place, 4 points outside the play-off positions and 15 points behind Town, now in second place.
Clevedon have played Saltash more times than any other Cornish team, winning 17 and losing 20 of the 46 games, with 9 draws. Since the Ashes returned to the Western League in 2021 Town have won 5 of the 8 games with Saltash winning the other 3
Saltash enjoyed a fine start to the season taking them into the play-off positions, but recent form has been patchy and after 4 successive draws they then suffered 4 straight defeats until bouncing back with a 3-2 win at Shepton Mallet last week.
Town enjoyed a run of 6 unbeaten games before Christmas but that has been followed by a poor run, not helped by the on/off nature of games and they haven’t played since the single goal defeat at promotion rivals Torpoint at the end of January.
The Seasiders will be boosted by new signings Kye Simpson, the return of Harley Vozza on loan and the arrival also on loan of Josh Salmon (Cam Salmon’s brother) from Weston.
Meanwhile they will need to keep a close eye on Saltash front two Deacon and Reece Thomson who have 26 goals between them this season.
With only 2 more home games to come the team needs all the support in can get in this vital game - be there!
